Witkin travaille comme un peintre. Il commence par une esquisse. Plus une bonne dose de culture sur l'histoire de l'art et du talent. Ça fait un tout. Le talent ne suffit pas. Et pas la peine de se comparer à lui. Suis ton chemin, ce sera toujours mieux que d'imiter.

Je n'ai jamais vu aucune expo de lui (faudrait que j'aille à Paris pour ça), mais ses images me retournent complètement... Enfin celles que je connais! Et c'est là que je vois qu'au mieux que je puisse faire je n'arriverai jamais à sa cheville. Le talent c'est peut être inné...

J'ai été déçue par les deux dernières expos à Paris que j'ai vues de lui, mais il paraît que la dernière (galerie Baudoin Lebon) était mieux. Mais j'aime quand même la majeure partie de son travail.

Oui. Je suis allée plusieurs fois au Canada (Regina, Montréal, Ottawa et Toronto) car j'y ai de la famille. Si je peux, j'y retournerai l'an prochain.
